Fairy & Dragon Trail in the Garden - 19th July to 30th August 2025
Do you believe in Fairies? Come and meet the woodland Fairies and their secretive friends in High Beeches Garden. Discover giant toadstools, dandelions and keep a look out for the mischievous sprites and boggarts, not to mention a friendly dragon; you may even find a unicorn and her foal. Why not dress up as your favourite fairy and join in the fun.
The trail is designed for all ages, and the circular walk takes about an hour culminating in a wishing tree.
Tickets: Adults £12.00; Children (2-16 years) £7.00. Child under 2 free.
Trail pack (map, book, pencils and wishing ribbon) £2.50.

Takeaway tea, coffee, cake and ice-cream available.
Picnics welcome in the Garden picnic area.

Heavy Horses harrowing the Wildflower Meadow - Sunday 7th September, 11 am to 5pm
Please join us to watch the heavy horses harrow the wildflower meadow. The traditional harrow drawn by the horses will remove the thatch, scatter seed and open up the sward to enable the wildflowers to seed successfully. It’s a wonderful opportunity to watch these beautiful horses at work. Learn more about the Wildflower Meadow at High Beeches.
Guided Walks
Join Elliot Chandler, Senior Gardener, for a guided walk of the many rare trees and shrubs that are to be found throughout the garden.

Silent Space
We have a designated Silent Space among the Coastal Redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens). These magnificent trees were planted in 1988 and have formed a secluded and shaded space ideal for enjoying a time of reflection. Alternatively, we invite you to find your own Silent Space on one of the many benches sited in the glades throughout the garden. This is an ideal place to turn off your phone, connect with nature and enjoy some time away from the busy world.
Hayward Tyler Hot Air Engine
The Hot Air Engine will be running on a number of days throughout the season.
